Flat Stanley's Field Trip

We had a special visitor last week. Jack Thompson sent us "Flat Stanley" for a three day adventure. Flat Stanley is a school project that has kids send "Flat Stanley" in the mail to an out of town friend and the friend brings him on an adventure in their town, takes pictures, journals it, and sends it back to the person that sent it to them. Jack T sent us Flat Stanley all the way from Edison, NJ. We had a great time showing him the sights of Chicago. We went to the Museum of Science and Industry and saw some awesome exhibits including the Jim Hensen exhibit. It was great and the kids and I loved it. We have been big Muppet fans for a long time and it was inspiring to see a large collection of the work that Jim Hensen did (we saw the real KERMIT!!!). After the museum we took Flat Stanley on a drive through the city to see some sights including Buckingham Fountain, The Sears Tower, Navy Pier, the Miracle Mile, and the Museum Campus. It made all of us more thankful than ever that we are back here. WE LOVE CHICAGO!!!!!
