We went to Cantigny for Storytime today. Afterwords we wandered the grounds. Ben went to the tanks and the war museum with his friends from school and the girls and I wandered the Idea & Rose gardens. Sam was looking for leaves, nuts, and other interesting things for some craft projects. We didn't find much on the ground to take home today, everything is still just starting to grow therefore attached :-) Sam learned some new trees and bushes and impressed the groundskeepers with being able to spot them other places on the grounds. After looking at the small scale model of Cantigny in the visitors center the kids have decided that they would like to create their own models of something on a much smaller scale (the one in the visitors center is about 15x15 feet and under a sheet of glass in the floor. We'll have to keep everyone updated on that project - let us know if you have any suggestions as to what we can do.
