Squirrels Squirrels Everywhere!!!!

Yes, these are squirrels! They were all over the place at house at the beach. Of course we were throwing peanuts at them and trying to catch them in home made traps. None of the traps worked but we had a lot of fun trying!

Here are some of the ships that I made on vacation - they have escape hatches, a secret compartment to keep money in, and the flap in the front goes up and down for the landing pad. It is packed with weapons and goes really fast on land. Too bad I had to break it when it was time to clean up. Luckily we had some pictures of the Dragstar 911.

First day on the beach!

Sylvan Beach turned out to be a great idea. The kids had a great time walking to the beach with me every morning and passing the day (until it rained - which was about EVERY day!) Here are Ben and Maisie playing in the sand

Polly Pocket on the Porch

Can you say that three times fast? Well Maisie can!!! She played Polly Pocket everywhere we went in NY State and when we were at the Beach house in Sylvan Beach it was almost all she did. Here she is on the front porch playing with them in their hotel and pool.

Did you know that even GRANDPA can get those little ladies dressed???

Checkers with Grandma

Me and Grandma were playing checkers at the beach house. I can't remember who won but it was a very long game. Good thing it wasn't as long as the Uno game. The Uno game was about an hour long and Benny quit halfway through. I liked playing games with Grandma.

Maisie @ the Dowd's Pool

Here is Maisie at H and Mary's Pool. She was loving it! She even jumped in off the diving board (although boy was she mad when she went under water!)

On a more sad note.... this was our first trip back since Mary passed away. It was very sad being at the house and even more sad to think she won't be on the deck waiting to chat with us after we swim. I believe very strongly that H and Mary are both still there - watching, smiling and laughing as my kids run wild laughing and having a great time.

I love you and miss you Mary. Be sure to keep an eye on us.
