Chicks

Maisie's class hatched 9 baby chicks. They started with 11 eggs in an incubator in their classroom.

"First the chicks were a little germ spot in an egg and then the spot got bigger and bigger and when it got so crammed up in there the chick popped out. It takes 21 days for them to hatch. Here are some are some pictures of the chicks last day in kindergarten before they headed to the farm. Maisie was sad to see them leave because they were so cute. We have promised her that soon enough, we will have our own chicks/chickens.

A Taste of Spring

Grandma brought a taste of spring with her when she was visiting a few weeks ago! Of course, it has left now that she has but it was fun while it lasted!

Maisie has had the birthday that won't end (not that that is a bad thing). Grandma and Maisie went to Build a Bear this AM. Here is Maisie's new creation......

Liam is home!

We were at the Stanek House for Liam's arrival home today. Liam's cousin Maisie and his big brother Jackson and big sister Fiona were pretty excited. Liam wasn't. He slept. And slept. Hopefully he sleeps all night too.

Jackson is five!

Happy Birthday Jackson! The birthday party has been postponed for a few weeks so we Zinks had a fun family day with him. We went to see Rango and went out for lunch. It was lots of fun. The kids spent most of lunch time drawing together at the table. It is so nice to see all of the kids getting along so well.

It's Log!

Maisie made a log suit. Why? Cause she could. What else would you do with a skinny box and a brown marker?

Fancy Dinner party for Maisie's Birthday

What would Maisie's Birthday be without a FANCY dinner party? My gift to her was dinner with the good china, lots of crystal, the wine glasses for everyone and no jeans! Anyone who knows Maisie knows she is all about fashion and looking special. She is frequently disappointed that we don't share her appreciation of all that glitters. For the night Ben wore his blazer and Sammy wore the dress that Maisie picked out. John even agreed to wear a tie of Maisie's choice, it was a fancy fancy night. You'll notice that for desert Maisie has gotten into her pajamas. Oh well, whatever, it was Maisie's choice and Maisie's perfect night. What a night, what a birthday. Happy Birthday Maisie!
