The Amazing Rizo (by Sammy)

Let me introduce my new pet rat - his name is Rizo. I named him Rizo after the rat on the Muppets. I got him from the pet store about 2 months ago. He is very cute and very smart. I know some people might think that having a rat for a pet is weird, but I love him!

Storytime at Cantigny

We went to Cantigny for Storytime today. Afterwords we wandered the grounds. Ben went to the tanks and the war museum with his friends from school and the girls and I wandered the Idea & Rose gardens. Sam was looking for leaves, nuts, and other interesting things for some craft projects. We didn't find much on the ground to take home today, everything is still just starting to grow therefore attached :-) Sam learned some new trees and bushes and impressed the groundskeepers with being able to spot them other places on the grounds. After looking at the small scale model of Cantigny in the visitors center the kids have decided that they would like to create their own models of something on a much smaller scale (the one in the visitors center is about 15x15 feet and under a sheet of glass in the floor. We'll have to keep everyone updated on that project - let us know if you have any suggestions as to what we can do.

But can you paint it? The kids painted a car @ a local art show this weekend. Someone actually drives it around believe it or not (that's why the windshield & lights are masked).

Monday!!!

It's Monday. The first day of summer vacation is finally here. I broke my arm. I tripped over a half-broken fence at Lion's Park. Ouch! I was up late at the hospital. There were a lot of people. I got an x-ray. I went with Daddy. What a way to start your summer vacation.

Birthday Gift

Do you know what I did for my birthday? I had a wonderful party. I got lots of beautiful presents such as the ATAP Walker, a stuffed Knuckles from Sonic, lots of Pokemon cards, and SpongeBob Monopoly. I also got a Sonic the Hedgehog DVD - it is the complete series & A comic book of Sonic the Hedgehog. We had a good cake and I put a Dialga figure on the top of it. My friends came over for a BBQ and we had fun. The friends who stayed late got to be here for a BonFire. The best part of my birthday is that I stayed up until 1 in the morning watching all of the DVDs I got with my friends. This was one of my best birthdays.

Last Day of Brownies

Today I had my last day !! We did a skit and had a pizza party. We had a bridging ceremony too.
